Men’s collections with fur for the spring summer 2019? Yes there are!
I am writing this sitting on the TGV going to Paris for the Haute Couture week.
This is a personal post
I did a special on the new Louis Vuitton collection which is full of mink fur accessories designed by the new Creative Director Virgil Abloh and Creative Director of the brand Off-White. I will tell you about the incredible people I met like breakfast with David Beckham in London, at Dior with Karl Lagerfeld and Victoria Beckham, the Fendi show and the chat with Silvia Fendi, the special on Tom Browne and some small interviews of Fashion Insiders regarding the world of fur.
I like continuing to write personal posts because many of you have been following me for years and are interested in knowing also what happens in my private life and not only regarding work.
I went to the most important shows in the calendar in London, Milan and Paris, as well as covering what I wanted for personal taste, personal research or even just out of curiosity. I always cover womens’ shows, for the first the mens’ ones. Grazia Arabia Magazine, client of my agency SDR that manages their Instagram account and their editorial plan, decided to do a special on menswear so, as I am their IT GIRL, I covered all the shows for the first time. Find here the website of my consulting and digital agency .
Compared to the women’s shows the men’s ones are much quieter. Less press, fewer clowns loose on the streets (by clowns I mean those that dress way over the top just to get photographed outside of the shows), fewer amateur photographers and more professional street style photographers: it’s basically more practical.
The more relaxed atmosphere is great for doing some public relations and developing important contacts.
I left Milan with the list of goals that I then reviewed on the airplane on the way to London because as usual the list was a bit too long. =)
Do you have habits? We have lots! Above all when we travel for work.
Matteo and I always go to the same hotels and restaurants: we are real creatures of comfort. If you follow me on Instagram @samantha you will have noticed. It’s not laziness, it’s joy. We have strict contracts with hotels in London and Paris seeing that we go there for four weeks a year, and we always go to the same restaurants because we love the relationship we have built with the owners who really make us feel at home with the difference that at home Matteo has to cook and here no. (ahahha)
We wake up at around six thirty in the morning and the shows normally finish at about 9pm, so dinner is at 10 except when some megalomaniac decides to show in the evening, maybe ten kilometres from the city centre and it’s always that name cannot avoid and that makes us works until midnight. Normally we work at the restaurant that immediately after dinner puts us up in quiet corners spoiling us with sweets and drinks or in bed at the hotel if the wifi is fast.
LONDON MEN’S COLLECTION SPRING SUMMER 2019
London is a special place for me because it’s where Matteo and had our first kiss, in front of a rubbish bin right under my hotel in MayFair. Ok the bin may not be romantic but the area is and like the love crazy fools we are every time we see a bin in London we kiss.
It was also in London that we shot a beautiful photo taking advantage of a moments’ break, sitting in a park, this one, that I printed during mens’ fashion week and gave to Matteo.
I could write a blog just on Matteo. SORRY
I’ll get back to telling you about the fashion weeks!
London is very interesting for emerging designers. London is the capital of research. The show that is closest to my personal, rather classic style was that of St. James London
I discovered a shop I went crazy for specializing in tailor-made super English style it is called Walker Slater .
My breakfast with David Beckham organized by the British Fashion Council was unique.
Another exciting thing was catching up with my friend Astrid Andersen, Creative Director of her brand of the same name, that I have known for five years. Her winter collections in fur ROCK! I really admire her. She has been able to position her brand in a few years and succeed in a well-defined niche market.
Also in London I had dinner with my dear friend Rachel Zeitlin, Fur Insider, but stupidly we didn’t take even one photo together – We have some video stories. I will try to upload one on Ig TV very soon.
When I say and write that the fur sector is a family
I mean this: in any city I go to I am certain to meet a friend of the fur sector with whom I can share my passion and spend memorable moments. As you will have understood from our motto our agency www.samanthadereviziis.com (you will find it at the bottom of the page)
for me human relationships are more important than business…
To see all the London shows check out my Instagram and look closely at that of Grazia =)@graziaqatar. Soon as I wrote above I will do a video for IG TV
MILAN FASHION WEEK MEN’S COLLECTIONS SPRING SUMMER 2019
Milan Milan Milan Milan my home (not for much longer soon you will find out where I am moving) It was a surprise because Grazia is a Women’s Magazine and I couldn’t have imagined I would be invited and to so many shows.
I got other invitations thanks to the projects that I am developing with the brands that showed.
We covered nearly all the shows. Milan is not London! I mean there were many more shows, events, presentations. We never slept. We don’t drink alcohol, we don’t take drugs, we don’t even drink matcha any more but our passion and energy for this work let us pass a fun fashion week, despite the various stresses and tiredness.
Fendi: finally I managed to have a quick chat with Silvia Venturini Fendi. I was also able to grab Philipp Plein for Plein Sport backstage for an exclusive nice message for Grazia Magazine =)

I loved the collection of Sunnei, the team, and Scott Schuman who after six years of show shot me for the first time sitting at the Sunnei show on the 31nd floor of the Regional building.
At Marni I met Beppe Angiolini ex Director of the Chamber of Buyers who I will interview soon.
If I were a man I would wear Cucinelli here below are the photos and Zegna!
PARIS FASHION WEEK MEN’S COLLECTIONS SPING SUMMER 2019
Paris is the messiest fashion week of all. It is also the one that was most exciting for me and where I reached the professional goals I had set myself at the beginning of the fashion week.
From the first collection of Louis Vuitton by Virgil Abloh I loved the accessories in white Danish mink like the rapper style bag, the scarf with the LV logo printed on mink see here for the photos.
The show was incredible, above all for the guests, most of whom were rappers and singers, the catwalk was the same colours as the Instagram wall we made for Grazia Arabia.
Thom Browne: the coloured fur with geometric designs brightened my mood on a day that had started off on the wrong foot.
The shows that I loved most were: Kenzo, Hermes, Dior, Paul Smith, Valentino (rapper inspired but a collection full of details like embroidery with animal designs on classic cut English or bomber jackets, gym shoes with feathers, feather hats) the collection of UnderCover inspired by Creamy Mami my favourite manga.
At Dior sitting in the front row ahead of me there was Karl Lagerfeld: I couldn’t believe it. So in the end I literally threw myself at him to try to interview him. I only managed to take one photo but I was the only one who could do it … so I feel more than lucky…
KANYE WEST: for years I got up in the morning listening to Kanye’s song STRONGER, I loved his position on fur and I like him as a rapper so I am super happy to have seen and met him. He collaborated with various designers.
Always at Dior I interviewed the actor Robert Pattinson from Twilight that all women go crazy over, for me I think he is a little bit carzy -Let’s move on:)..
The next post will be about the Haute Couture Fall Winter 2019 with a special on Fendi, Ulyana Sergeenko and Jean Paul Gaultier
I am so amazed by your post babe, keep it up!

“I could write a blog just on Matteo. SORRY” Please don’t be sorry, I love the kiss by the garbage bin story. Made me smile! I wish much love and happiness to you both!
As for the men’s furs pictured, they are very imaginative but …
I love more traditional styles.
I must say thank you for including men in your blog. I just wish more of us would wear fur. It is a wonderful way to stay warm.
